Spider Monkey
The spider monkey babies can be seen on most picture sites that feature rainforrest animals.
These are arboreal monkeys of tropical America with long slender legs and long prehensile tail. Some biologists divided the genus Ateles into several species, but for others there is only one name for ateles that is valid (Ateles Paniscus.) Nowadays science distinguishes 6 species of these monkeys. Compared to Catarrhines, these animals are more primitive, and they can be distinguished by the form of their nose. These primates have a flat nose and somewhat outwardly directed nostrils that are placed widely apart. These monkeys have evolved in their own separate way, and they can be found in Latin and South America.

Spider Monkey -
babies, picture
This species lives in lowland rain forests from Mexico to South America, along the coasts of the Amazon, and the mountain slopes of the Andes. Their habitats are mainly on the tree canopy. Groups of these animals defend their ranges with screams, barks and thrown branches. Males mark their territory with secretions from the chest glands. These primates belong to the Platyrrhini group of primates and feature flat noses with nostrils directed sideways and separated by a wide septum. On each size of both jaws they have 2 incisors, 1 canine tooth, 3 premolars and 2 or 3 molars. This is a specialized mammalian dental formula adapted to eating diverse food.
