Snow Monkey
The snow monkey babies can be seen in pictures on most conservation sites.
The Primates are an ancient eutherian group that counts 13 families. Most primates are arboreal, but some Old World apes lead a semi-terrestrial life. Living primates are divided into two great groups, the Stepsirhini and the Haplorhini. Haplorhines have evolved more advancely, and are further divided into two major groups, the Platyrrhini and the Catarrhini. Platyrrhines have flat noses, outwardly projected nostrils, and larger species have strong prehensile tails. Catarrhines have paired downwardly directed nasal openings, which are separated by a narrow septum. They are larger in size, and form larger social groups, containing 30 to 100 individuals.

Snow Monkey -
babies, pictures
These animals are known for their hairless red face. Their bodies are covered with thick fur that ranges in color from gray to brown. They live naturally in the forests in the highlands and mountains of Japan. These species migrate in different seasons due to temperature changes ranging from -15 to 23 degrees C. They keep warm with a thick fur coat in the winter and soak in hot thermal pools. They are good swimmers. If they live near the coast they will dive for shellfish. Their primary food source is fruit but they also eat leaves, flowers, seeds and insects. The snow monkey babies can be seen in pictures on most conservation sites.
